Eastern Market Metro

Eastern Market Metro Station in Washington, DC.

A few weeks ago we spent a long weekend in DC. On a cloudy Saturday morning we were going to check out the Eastern Market - DC's oldest continually operated fresh food public market. Aside from the main building, on Saturdays they also have local farmers and art and craft vendors where we bought peaches and Shinko Asian pears. Plus, we had the best chocolate flan with amaretto at an Italian restaurant on Barrack's Row, Lavagna.
